My name is James Whitaker. I'm 28. I have been traveling around the world since November 2006. I run my internet business from my laptop. My friends think I'm crazy. I think it's crazy to sit a cubicle for more than 5 minutes in a single lifetime. These are my adventures.

My name is James Whitaker. I'm 29. I am back in America, running my internet business and ready to go back on the road for summer 09. These are my adventures.

My name is James Whitaker. I'm 30. I am back in San Luis Obispo for a few months while I decide what to do when I grow up. I still play and work with websites.

MOVED/RECAP

Peter and I have moved from the squalor of 666 CataMarca to the hustle and bustle of Avenida Corrientes. We’ve basically gone from a boring working class porteno neighborhood to living about 50 feet off one of the cities main drags. It feels like we live in Manhattan. It’s so urban that the door to our building has a big metallic grate on the front, like an old cow catcher on the front of a locaomotive, to keep the bums off the stoop. It’s pretty sweet.

Plus, I was ready for a change. Life there was boring. We lived with nice local kids, but there was just nothing going on. Even after these three American girls came and moved in, it still sucked. They were probably the 3 most boring, quality-less, women I’ved ever met. Not one redeeming quality. No humor, easy-going ness, beauty, lightness. Basically nerds, and I hated living with them for every minute it. I just sat in my room and worked all the time.

But it was a good experience. We got to see how local middle twenty somethings live in Buenos Aires. I don’t envy them. They’re all basically communists with zero desire or ability for upward mobility. Most will never leave Argentina, yet they want to know that we like them and ask all the time what we think of the locals. They play the same American songs over and over on the radio, usually Red Hot Chili Peppers.

At any rate, I am back on the blog and will write more about those guys, now that I’m one step removed from it. Got some pics to upload too!
